Planting – Winter into Spring by Peter Briggs on 27th Feb 2018
Hosted by the Hilmarton Gardening Club at St Laurence Church Hall
Peter Biggs assisted by his father, Bob, will talk about PLANTING – WINTER INTO SPRING
The Biggs family run a garden nursery at Wanborough, started in an old chalk quarry in 1991. Chemicals are not used at the nursery unless absolutely necessary and the diverse range of plants are potted using Wiltshire’s green waste. Peter has qualifications in Nursery Practices and Garden Design. He has won 3 RHS silver medals for show gardens.
Peter and his father will be bringing plants for sale.
Enjoy wine/beer/lager for £1.50 per glass

Visits also by arrangement Mar to Sept contact via email in first instance. 6 acre garden of hedges, herbaceous borders, rose arches, bee garden and orchard stuffed with good plants. It is overlooked by the house and arranged above the small valley garden which is crowded with magnolias and rhododendrons, cornus and hydrangeas. Wheelchair access to upper garden only, some gravel and narrow grass paths.
